Study Abroad in South American with The Global Entrepreneurship Program

This coming spring 2019 semester, the Global Entrepreneurship Program is expanding the program’s benefits and hosting a one-of-a-kind experience in South America. Students from all campus-wide majors and backgrounds may take advantage of this significant opportunity.

The program will take place in three countries: Argentina, Chile and Peru. Home base for classes will be Santiago, which has earned the name “Chilecon Valley” as a result of its business culture of innovation as well as sustainability initiatives and practices. In Santiago, students will also visit international companies, meet political leaders and intern with various international companies for 10 weeks. The program also takes students to visit Patagonia, Buenos Aires and one of the Wonders of the Modern World, Machu Picchu.

During the program, students will take five entrepreneurship courses from University of Utah professors who will also provide mentorship as students learn to create, finance, market and sell ventures of their own design. Completing the courses will earn students a Certificate in Entrepreneurship, a differentiator for students of any major. For students still finishing up their undergrad credits, the courses taken on the Global Entrepreneurship Program trip will cover four general education requirements.
